This is the conference time schedule for Buma ROCKS! 2016

And these are the moderators for our panels!

Panel: Development of a live act
Frank Janssen is Head of Communication & PR at Buma/Stemra, the Dutch collecting society for composers and music publishers. After starting out as a rock journalist, Frank has worked for Sony Music, STEP and Hogeschool Utrecht. From 2007 - 2013 he was the editor-in-chief and publisher of trade magazine Entertainment Business.

Panel: Playing the media
It has been ten years since Jelmer Gussinklo streaked across the field at Eredivisie soccer game Sparta-NEC. He already was a radio engineer back then, working for such a variety of employers that he has been nicknamed 'the slut of Hilversum' (Hilversum being the town where most radio and tv stations are based). Jelmer is far from musically discriminating, but he's an Iron Maiden fan to the bone and a hobby drummer with a knack for heavy metal.

Panel: Beyond Wacken
Mark van Schaick has been affiliated with Buma ROCKS! since its beginning, and is responsible for programme & communication as of 2016. His background is music journalism. He has been working for music magazine Oor for twenty years and as an editor-in-chief has lead various musician's magazines. Throughout his career, Mark found truth in metal and jazz.

Panel: Heavy track
Daan Holthuis is currently marketeer at the Melkweg Amsterdam, mostly responsible for the metal, hardcore punk and heavy rock music program. At the Metal Factory in Eindhoven, the first metal music college in the world, Daan developed a three-year course of Music History, centering on metal and punk music. Besides these two jobs Daan is managing extreme metal band Divine Sins.

Hibakusha answers 4 questions

Haarlem-based Hibakusha will be the second band to perform on the Buma ROCKS! stage at FortaRock on Saturday June 4th. To get to know them a little bit better, we asked them four questions.

Buma ROCKS!, the international conference and showcase festival for loud music, takes place on June 4 in Nijmegen and tickets are still available through our website www.bumarocks.nl.
